Introduction
In this blog, I’m going to show you how I was able to save $523 per year on my Adobe CC subscription. That’s over $40 saved each and every single month! I was previously paying nearly $60 per month for an individual plan, which seemed crazy to me. However, I found a way to bring it down to only $20 per month and even received three months for free. Let me explain how I did it.
The Process
To begin, you’ll need to go to the Adobe website and manage your plan. Log into your account and follow the steps below:
- Click on the link in the description
- You will be presented with a pop-up window
- Click “Continue Cancellation”
- Confirm the cancellation
Unfortunately, in my case, I couldn’t cancel the subscription directly. So, I had to reach out to customer service to request the cancellation and inquire about the reason why I couldn’t do it myself. When speaking to customer service, I expressed my concerns about the high price of the subscription and explained that it didn’t make sense for me to spend $60 per month at this time. I complained about the cost and the representative asked if I qualified for a student discount since I mentioned that I teach designers about graphic design through my online courses. I took advantage of this opportunity and confirmed that I am a teacher.
The customer service representative informed me that I could switch to a special plan for teachers and students, priced at $19.99 per month. This seemed like a reasonable offer, so I agreed to it. Additionally, since I had been recently billed, the representative mentioned that they would prorate the charges and refund me some money. On top of that, they would also provide me with three months of free subscription. Considering we were already in October, I wouldn’t have to pay again until February of the following year, giving me even more savings.
Terms and Conditions
Once the details were sorted out, the representative shared the terms and conditions of the new plan. It was important for me to agree to these terms so that they could charge my credit card accordingly. I reviewed the terms and conditions they sent, and after confirming that the monthly price would indeed be $19.99 and that I would receive the three months for free, I agreed to the terms.
It’s worth noting that the process can be a bit time-consuming, taking approximately 20 minutes. However, it is definitely worth the effort, especially if you don’t use Adobe CC on a daily basis and only require specific apps at times.

Confirmation and Benefits
After the process was completed, I asked the representative to confirm that my next billing would occur in February. They assured me that it would be the case, and I could close the window with confidence. Upon checking my account, I noticed that I was now on the new plan, and the pricing had been adjusted accordingly. The customer service representative had placed me on a graduate special price, which was significantly lower than my previous plan.
If you’re not a student or a teacher, don’t worry! There are still plenty of deals available for you to explore. Even if you’re a new user, you can find a lot of discounts and offers. Check out the link in the description for more details.
